Medical Insurance
Patients experiencing vision problems related to a medical condition such as dry eyes, ocular allergy, spots and floaters, macular degeneration, diabetic or hypertensive retinopathy, may be covered by a medical insurance plan. Most medical insurance plans have a provision for discounts on eyeglasses and contact lenses.
Vision Care Insurance Plan
Vision Care pays a portion of a routine eye examination, frames, ophthalmic lenses and/or contact lenses. Most require a co-payment from the patients. These co-payments vary with the plan.

This discount plan for eyeglasses and contact lenses is offered through AAA, AARP and EyeMed Vision Care.
